Overview
Global settings control how SimCapture behaves for all users. These settings should be reviewed during implementation and adjusted sparingly.
General Settings
- Institution Name – Set by Laerdal Medical (contact support to change)
- Time Zone – Impacts sessions, exams, and reporting
- Language – System UI language
- Time Format – 12‑hour or 24‑hour clock
- Measurement Type - Imperial or Metric
Notifications
Enable or disable email notifications for:
- Session assignments and releases
- Password resets
- Enrollment changes
Path: System Setup > General Settings > Edit > Save
Organizations
Organizations group users and content (such as by department or program).
Best practices:
- Use only when needed for reporting or access control
- Avoid over‑segmenting users
System Administrators always retain full access.
Question Categories (Enterprise Only)
Question Categories support evaluation analysis and reporting.
