SimCapture Enterprise: How to create and assign a Standalone evaluation for a scenario

Standalone Scenario evaluations are similar to Course evaluations. However, they are associated with a Scenario, are session-less, can be assigned at any time and can have a Scoring rubric.
Create a standalone evaluation
To create a Standalone scenario evaluation:
- Navigate to the desired Course and click Add New Scenario in the Curriculum pod.
- Select Create New and enter the required title for your Scenario.
- In the Scenario Requirements box, choose from Simulator, Standardized Patient, Peer to Peer, or Self-recorded, and fill in the necessary details.
- Click Save.
- In the Evaluations pod, locate your newly created Scenario and click the gear icon.
- Select Standalone Scenario and optionally add a Scoring Rubric.
- Click Confirm.
- Find your Standalone Scenario in the Evaluations pod and click Click to add an Evaluation.
- Select Create New, enter a required title, and click Save.
- In the Evaluation Preview pod, click Add questions and choose from Multiple Choice, USMLE Diagnosis, Information, or Free Text. You can also attach .gif, .jpg, .jpeg, .mp3, .mp4, .m4v, and .mov files.
- Click Save to save your questions and/or files, then click Done.
You will be able to find your newly created Standalone Scenario evaluation in the Evaluations pod.
Assign a Standalone scenario evaluation
Standalone scenarios can be assigned similarly to Course scenarios. To assign a Standalone scenario:
- Return to your Course and click Go to full agenda in the Agenda pod.
- Click Assign Evaluation.
- From the Evaluation to Assign dropdown, select the desired scenario. If the list is lengthy, use the Filter by Scenario option.
- Set your required Release Date & Time, and optionally set a Retract Date & Time. If no retraction time is specified, the activity will not have a due date.
- Choose to assign to All Course Participants or Only Select Users, and search for the users you wish to assign the evaluation to.
- Click Save, and you will be directed back to your agenda, where you can view the assignment. It will also appear in the Agenda pod on the Course home page, just like a Course evaluation.
