The SimCapture Paging app is currently in beta. It may contain bugs, incomplete functionality, or unexpected issues and may differ from the final product.

Things to know before you begin

• Download the SimCapture Paging App (.msi file) for Windows 10 or 11.
• Beta users: Contact SimCapture Support for initial setup to ensure compatibility.
• For rooms with the Axis P8221 audio module, the app can page directly to the audio module.
• For rooms with the newer Axis D3110 audio module, an additional IP speaker (recommended: Axis C1410 MK II) must be installed for the app to page to.
• This app is an upcoming replacement for the existing Software paging station app. Please reach out to Support or your Impact Manager if you wish to transition to the new beta app.
   

Configuration

Add a Room

1. Go to Settings in the Paging App.
2. Click + Add new room.  
   1. If the room is using a P8221 audio module for paging, select Basic Authentication on the new room modal, and enter the audio module details (IP address, username, password)
   2. If the room is using a C1410 IP speaker, select Digest Authentication on the new room modal, and enter the IP speaker details (IP address, username, password) 
3. Enter:
   1. Room Name
4. Click Save Changes.
5. Repeat for additional rooms, then return to the dashboard.

Edit or Delete a Room

• Use the menu on the right of each room's row to make changes or remove the room.

Group Rooms

Rooms can be grouped to create a shortcut option for selecting multiple rooms at once.

1. Go to Settings > Groups > + Add new group.
2. Name the group and click Save.
3. While adding/editing rooms, assign them to groups using the dropdown menu.

Groups appear at the top of the dashboard for quick selection.

Import settings from an existing SimCapture paging station

1. In Settings, click Import settings.
2. Select the config file from your previous app version. Note: This will overwrite current room settings.
3. The app will open a Windows dialogue, search and select the config app from your previous app version to import. 

Using the app

Paging into rooms

Select a Room

• Click the room’s tile on the dashboard (highlighted in blue).
• Click again to deselect.

Page to Selected Rooms

• Hold Push to talk to broadcast your message.

Quick select multiple rooms to page to

• Use Select all, Deselect all, or choose a Group to select multiple rooms. Note: Deselecting the Group will remove selection from all rooms in that group regardless of whether they are in any other groups which have been selected.
