Understanding exam flows in On-Premise Enterprise
An exam flow is like a road map for a case, with different routes and stops you can take to get to your destination. You may want to include various components in your encounters, such as an honor code, door notes, or checklists. The exam flow also dictates the length of time an encounter is recorded, along with the amount of time given for any post-encounter activities. The exam flow puts all these components into each encounter so that it runs smoothly.
Below is an example of an exam flow that includes a 15-minute encounter and a 5-minute post-encounter (including a student write-up and an SP checklist). This process can be repeated for a follow-up encounter and post-encounter.
Each large arrow represents an Exam State where various actions can occur. The standard configuration of exam states is Ready, Pre-Encounter, Encounter, and Post Encounter; however, our support team can create exam flows to meet your specific requirements. The small arrows represent more minor actions within each exam state, such as evaluations students or SPs may need to complete or when the cameras start and stop recording.
When using an exam flow, the software is essentially capable of running the exam by itself (with students and SPs), allowing proctors more time to monitor and assist students.
