Release version 5.9.4

Laerdal Medical is happy to announce the release of SimCapture version 5.9.4. This exciting release includes the 5th phase of our new HTML interface and includes a bevy of enhancements to our session player.

Our team is hard at work on finishing the new evaluations and portfolio features for our Enterprise customers, but in the meantime, we have a few new courses and evaluation-specific features to showcase.

Releasing course curriculum

We have revamped the Course Releasing, so it is a bit cleaner and more intuitive to use. We did add the ability to set a release and retraction time along with the date. We are excited about your feedback on the new design.

Reports to release

In conjunction with our new course releasing we have added to system setup the ability for administrators to set which reports are included during the release window time frame.

Session player enhancements

Delete Sessions - Ability to choose what you would like to delete including options to delete just videos or just simulator data.

 Complete Live/Debrief Evaluations - Includes a new feature of saving and submitting live/debrief evaluations.

1. Select the Live Evaluation you would like to complete.
2. Select if the evaluation will be for a team or a particular participant.
3. If a single participant then selects the specific user and clicks “Complete Evaluation.”
4. Completed and Incomplete evaluations will be shown here.

Upload Simulator Data - Based on the simulator selected in the session, the system will provide specific instructions to ensure the successful loading of the simulator files.

PTZ Controls - The session player now includes an option to toggle on\off PTZ controls for any appropriate camera. The PTZ controls will allow for panning and tilting using both our UI arrows or with point and click. Currently camera presets are not included but we will look to include these in the future. 

Edit Session Security - We enabled security at the session level to ensure only those users with proper access can view sessions.

Filter participant by Course - Once a course is selected in a session, we now have an option to only show users from the specific course when adding participants.

Bug fixes and improvements

• Portfolio: Resolved an issue with students accessing scoring evaluations with video while items are released for that Course.
• Courses: Resolved an issue with passing cutoff percentage saving as 100x more than set when the course was created.
• Evaluations: Resolved an issue with deleting copied questions in the evaluation builder and added support for displaying dropdown questions during evaluation completion. Support for the dropdown questions in the evaluation builder is coming soon.
• Reports: Removed SimCapture Central server as a filter option for batch reports and essential clients will no longer have report options mean for Enterprise tier users.
• Sessions: Resolved an issue where participant users were unable to view sessions they were associated with.
• Session Player: Added “No recordings for this session” message to sessions with no recordings
• Users: The blocked ability for users to change their user role.
