The Center calendar is the central location for all events scheduled throughout SimCapture. Whether reservations were made through the Center Calendar or a Course Agenda view, they will all be displayed on the Center Calendar.
Accessing the calendar
The Center Calendar can be accessed by clicking the Calendar icon in the global navigation. What users see on the calendar is partially determined by their role & permissions.
System Administrators: Have access to the full center calendar and all events. They can add, edit and remove events.
Administrators: Have access to the full center calendar and view all events. They can only request reservations and edit/remove events they are the owner of unless they have the Manage Calendar permission in System Setup.
Participants: Have access to only their calendar events with basic details, and cannot edit, request, or remove events from the calendar.

Calendar reservations
When reservations are created, they are displayed on the calendar in their designated time slot. Clicking on a reservation will display additional details for that reservation and allow accessing the reservation detail page for further editing.
Basic reservations can also be made by clicking and dragging in the desired time slot for users with the appropriate permissions.

Calendar filters
The events displayed on the calendar can be filtered by Course, Participants, Location, Organization, Simulator, Inventory Item, or any combination of the above. This allows for focusing on a particular subset of events or looking for potential conflicts. Additional conflict detection and filtering are planned for future software releases.
Adding a reservation
Reservations can be added by either clicking and dragging in the desired time slot on the calendar display (see above) or by clicking the Add Reservation button. Clicking Add Reservation will bring up a detailed reservation page.
Adding a reservation as an administrative user
As an administrator, you can quickly and easily submit a calendar reservation request by taking these steps.
Click the Calendar tab from the global navigation bar and click the blue Add Reservation button.
Fill in the necessary information and click Save. Once submitted, a calendar request will appear on the calendar in gray until approved.

Approving a calendar reservation request
An Administrator with calendar privileges or system administrator is responsible for approving calendar requests from other administrators. SimCapture will place the reservation on the calendar once approved, and then edits can be made to the reservation.
To approve the request, find the reservation on the calendar, click it, select Accept, Accept With Changes, Deny or Destroy, include any notes if needed, and click Submit.

Once accepted, the reservation detail page will be displayed, allowing for changes to be made, such as assigning a location, adding participants, and making additional notes.
Calendar reports
Currently, there are two different reports available to Calendar Administrators. More reports and additional functionality are planned for future software versions.

Reservations count
The reservations count will display the number of individual reservations for a particular item in a grouping.
Reservations time
The reservations by time report will show the number of hours scheduled for a particular item in a grouping.
