We’re excited to introduce Session Transcription, a new SimCapture Cloud feature that turns your recorded session audio into clear, time‑stamped, searchable transcripts right inside the Session Viewer. Whether you're reviewing what was said, prepping for a debrief, or pulling key moments for documentation, this feature is designed to make your workflow faster, easier, and more accurate.
Session Transcription works with both single‑language and multi‑language environments. That means System Admins can choose exactly how the system interprets spoken content—whether your sessions are always in one language or include a mix of voices from around the world. With the right setup, your transcripts will be more reliable, more precise, and better aligned with how your team actually teaches and learns.
Once the feature is switched on, you’ll see a new Session Transcript tab in every session that contains audio. From there, generating a transcript is just one click away. You can search for keywords, jump straight to important moments, copy excerpts for reports, and even let the system highlight matching terms so you never lose your place.
For System Admins, all of the language settings live under System Setup > Samaritan > Transcription. You can choose between:
- Single‑language transcription for predictable accuracy in a known language.
- Multi‑language transcription for sessions where several languages might be spoken.
Admins can pick from a list of supported languages, and the system will handle the rest—whether that means sticking to one language or automatically detecting multiple languages during a session.
All you need is:
- Audio in your recording
- The transcription feature turned on
- Your site configured with supported languages
Once that’s in place, you're ready to go.
Session Transcription was built to support real‑world teaching—from quiet, focused scenarios to complex, multilingual simulations—and to give every user a clearer, more efficient way to review what happened in the room. We hope it helps streamline your debriefs, enhance your documentation, and make your SimCapture experience even smoother.
If you’re ready, head into a session and check out the new Session Transcript tab!
