If your administrator has enabled self‑enrollment for an event, you can enroll in or withdraw from that event directly from your SimCapture account using the Calendar.
This article explains what you need before enrolling, how to enroll or unenroll, and what the calendar colors mean.
Before You Can Enroll
To enroll in an event:
- An administrator must add you as an eligible participant when creating the event reservation.
- Not all events allow self‑enrollment.
- Some events may close enrollment or unenrollment before the event start time.
If you do not see an Enroll option, the event may not be self‑enrollable or enrollment may be closed.
Enroll in an Event
- Log in to SimCapture as a Participant.
- Select Calendar.
- Navigate to the month and day of the event.
- Select the event name to open its details.
- Select Enroll.
Once enrolled:
- The event appears as enrolled in your calendar.
- You receive an email confirmation (if notifications are enabled).
Unenroll from an Event
You can unenroll from an event using the same event details page.
- Log in to SimCapture as a Participant.
- Select Calendar and find the event date.
- Select the event name.
- Select Unenroll.
Once unenrolled:
- Your spot in the event is released.
- You receive an email confirmation (if notifications are enabled).
Note: If you just enrolled, you can immediately select Unenroll to cancel your registration (as long as enrollment is still open).
Understanding Calendar Colors
Blue events
These events allow self‑enrollment. You can select the event and choose Enroll or Unenroll.
Gray events
These events are not self‑enrollable, or enrollment is no longer available. Changes must be made by an administrator.
Why You Might Not See the Enroll Button
You may not be able to enroll if:
- You were not added as an eligible participant
- The event does not allow self‑enrollment
- The enrollment or unenrollment window has closed
- The event is fully enrolled
If this happens, contact your administrator.
Need Help?
Contact your administrator if:
- You don’t see an event you were told to attend
- The Enroll or Unenroll button is unavailable
- You missed the enrollment window
