Things to know before you begin
This generic information will work with any LTI compliant LMS and instructs System administrators in how to configure their LMS to SimCapture Enterprise and SimCapture Exam System which is the first step in using the integration.
Follow one of the guides below if you are using:
LMS Configuration
- Create a new Developer Key/LTI Key within your LMS (these steps will vary depending on what LMS you are using). This Key will need to be setup using LTI version 1.3/LTI Advantage.
- This Key should have the following permissions enabled:
- Access to both Name and Email information for users
- Access to all LTI services
- Name the title of the Key something descriptive. For example, SimCapture LTI Tool.
- Enter in your Target Link URI. For example my-institution.simcapture.com.
- Enter Login Initiation/OIDC Initiation URL*: https://api.simcapture.com/lti/login
- Enter Redirect URL(s)*: https://api.simcapture.com/lti/redirect
- Enter Public JWKS URL/Public Keyset URL*: https://api.simcapture.com/lti/jwks
- Check the Load In New Tab box. This option will need to be set when configuring tool placement or when adding the tool to your course. Note: When configuring tool placement, make sure the tool is available as Course-level content or assignment selection.
*The subdomains for these URLs will vary based on your region.
