Key Capabilities

  • Sign‑In and Sign‑Out Records
    Real‑time tracking of participant activity with a clear audit trail

  • Learner Contact Hours Reporting
    Report learner hours by user or organization for compliance and accreditation

  • Center Sign‑In Administration
    Admins with the Manage Center Sign‑In permission can monitor and manage all kiosk activity

Center Sign‑In Administration (Admin Only)

Accessing the Admin Page

  1. Select the Sign in/out icon in the global navigation bar
  2. The page displays all users who have signed in within the last 24 hours and updates in real time

What Administrators See

  • User name
  • Sign‑in and sign‑out times
  • Sign‑in method (self‑service or admin‑assisted)

Admin Actions

Admins with permission can perform the following actions:

  • Manual Sign‑Out
    Sign out users who forgot to sign out

  • Copy Kiosk URL
    Generate a link to launch the kiosk on any supported device

  • Remote Sign‑In Users
    Sign users in without requiring kiosk access

  • Sign Out All
    End all active sessions at once (useful at closing time)

  • Refresh Users
    Manually update the active user list

  • Download as Excel
    Export raw sign‑in/sign‑out data for reporting or audits

Using the Center Sign‑In Kiosk (Participant Experience)

The kiosk allows users to log time spent in the center , but it does not provide access to the full SimCapture system.

Kiosk Registration

Each kiosk device must be registered by a SimCapture administrator to ensure that only authorized devices are used for sign‑in and sign‑out.

What Users See at the Kiosk

  • A customizable welcome message
  • Sign In and Sign Out buttons
  • Authentication options:
    • SSO credentials (if enabled)
    • SimCapture username and password

After signing in or out:

  • A confirmation message appears
  • The kiosk automatically returns to the home screen

Kiosk Configuration Options (Admin)

Accessible via System Setup , these settings control kiosk behavior and security.

  • Manage Center Sign‑Ins : Grants access to sign‑in admin tools and reports
  • Require Password : Enforces password entry for sign‑in and sign‑out
