Table of Contents
When using our paging station, you can speak/listen to different locations with an audio module, speaking, and microphone installed. Be aware that while you can listen into only one room at a time, you can speak into one, multiple, or all rooms simultaneously.
Things to know before you begin
To configure the software using the gear icon with the rooms axis P8221 audio module IP’s you will need to enable or register a headphone and microphone on the computer you are setting the software up on. If this step is not taken, when you load the software paging application will act like it is frozen and not respond to any inputs when trying to open the configuration menu.
Additionally, the Windows store is required to be enabled on the computer you are using to extract the SimCapture Software Pagins Station appxBundle as it is packaged with a fully trusted signing certificate which prevents the installation if not done through the store.
Using the paging station application
Open the SimCapture Paging Station application. Depending on your setup, you might have multiple groups or rooms.
Groups
To page, all groups and, by default, all rooms, click the All tile under Groups. The tile will turn blue. Then click-and-hold the Push to Talk tile and speak into the microphone. De-select the All tile to deactivate all Groups or deactivate each Group individually.
To page one or more groups, select each group you wish to page. Then click-and-hold the Push to Talk tile and speak into the microphone.
Rooms
To page one or more rooms, select each room you wish to page. Then click-and-hold the Push to Talk tile and speak into the microphone.

Software paging with SimCapture
It is strongly recommended to have a dual monitor setup. The Software Paging application should be open on one monitor and SimCapture should be open on the second monitor.
When using the Software Paging application with SimCapture, make sure that the volume in SimCapture, not the PC, is muted, and use the two-way paging function to prevent latency audio issues.
Reinstalling software paging to other users
The SimCapture Paging application is installed and configured for each user on the computer. When new users log into the control PC, the following files will be needed:
- Simcapture_Paging_Station_0.1.9 msix
- AudioModules.json
- Double-click the msix to install the paging application. Once installed, open the SimCapture Paging Station application to verify it installed properly – there should be no rooms and groups configured.
- Close the application. *You must be an Administrator on the PC to be able to move the .json to other profiles*
- Copy the AudioModules.json file to the folder: C:\Users\<the new user>\AppData\Local\Packages\3B3BA5EC-A97F-474B-83CB-E60EB06AE8FA_<character string>\LocalState\ (replace the existing file)
Once installed, open the Software Paging application again and verify the configuration loads correctly.
