Use this workflow to upload videos recorded using an external device so they can be reviewed and debriefed in SimCapture.
Once uploaded, the video behaves like a session recorded directly in the platform.
Before You Begin
- You must be an Administrator or System Administrator
- Supported video formats and encoding affect upload success
- Large or high‑resolution files may take longer to process
Upload a Session Video
- Go to Sessions in the global navigation bar.
- Select Import .
- Drag and drop a video file, or select Choose File .
- While the video uploads, complete:
- Scenario
- Title
- Organization
- Location
- Notes
- Session date and time
- When all files display a ✅ green check mark, select Save .
After Upload
- Videos are transcoded automatically
- Transcoding time depends on video length
- If processing takes longer than 15 minutes, you’ll receive an email notification
- You may log out while processing continues
