Release version 5.8.3

Laerdal Medical is happy to announce the release of SimCapture version 5.8.3. It has only been a few short weeks since our last software release, but we couldn't wait to get our new list pages in the hands of our clients.

Performance improvements on list pages

Dramatic speed improvements in loading and searching on main list pages

Feature highlights

• All clients will see a significant improvement in the list pages' loading time (Sessions, Courses, Scenarios, Users, and Evaluations).
• We improved the search capabilities on the top of each list page by limiting the search to only the most meaningful fields (Names and Titles) on each page, which returns better results while also speeding up the processing time.
• The default date filter is no longer necessary, allowing customers to see all their historical data.
• Session List Page also includes a quick date filter to help you find particular sessions even faster.

• The existing advanced filters you know and love today are still accessible by clicking the advanced filter button. This will result in performance comparable to what you experience today. This will persist for your current session but will reset the speedy performance on your next login.
• We have further data loading performance enhancements coming in an upcoming release; stay tuned!

Bug fixes and improvements

• Fixed a few reports that were inaccurately returning copied sessions in the results.
• Fixed a few places in the software where submitting special characters would return unexpected results and errors.
• Resolved a problem where data input type changes for a scenario were not updating correctly. 

Known issues

• Using an "Active" and "Real-time Scanning" Anti-Virus program can cause substantial performance delays to the system and the exam system.
