Configure SimCapture scenarios by adding evaluations, reflections, annotations, video retention settings, room setup, attachments, and access roles.

After creating a scenario, administrators can configure evaluations, annotations, reflections, permissions, and operational settings. This article explains each configuration section and when to use it.
Permissions
- Only System Administrators and Administrative users can configure scenarios.
- Available configuration sections vary between SimCapture Enterprise and SimCapture Pro.

People (Pro Only)
Assign access roles for the scenario:
- Owner
- Contributors
- Viewers
Contributor Permissions
Contributors can:
- Edit scenario details
- Start, join, and edit sessions
- Debrief sessions
- View results
Reflections (Enterprise & Pro)
Add Reflections , which are text‑based evaluations that support learner self‑reflection.
- Reflections appear after video release .
- If video release is not planned, use After Session Evaluations instead.
Evaluations (Enterprise Only)
Attach evaluations to the scenario, including:
- Before Session
- Administrator
- After Session
- Reflection
- Standalone evaluations

Annotations
Link predefined annotations to the scenario to ensure consistent tagging during sessions.
- Annotations can be grouped into categories.
- Supports standardized feedback and reporting.
Settings
Configure scenario‑specific defaults and behavior:
- Public Title – Visible to learners
- Video Deletion Policy – Controls session video retention
- Simulator – Optional default simulator
- Organization (Pro only) – Assigns the scenario to a specific organization
Room Setup (Enterprise Only)
Add operational details to support scheduling and preparation:
- Setup instructions
- Inventory or equipment requirements
- Setup and breakdown time
These details are visible to administrators only.
Attachments
Upload supporting materials such as:
- Scripts and case documents
- Simulator files
- Images or printable resources
Notes
- Large files are supported via multipart upload.
- Attachments are visible to admins only.
