The System Automated exam flow ensures all learners begin and complete their exams at the same time, with synchronized timing across each phase. This structured approach helps maintain consistency and fairness during simulation-based assessments.
What Is a System Automated Exam Flow?
System Automated exam flows:
- Automatically advance learners and Standardized Patients (SPs) through each phase
- Include a Waiting Room phase, which only a Proctor can advance
- Use timers to control phase transitions-no manual advancement by learners or SPs
- Are ideal for structured, timed exams where uniformity is critical
Things to Know Before You Begin
- Only Administrative users with scenario/course creation permissions can set up this flow
- Learners and SPs cannot manually advance through phases
- System Automated scenarios can be imported/exported as PDFs and copied
- These scenarios cannot be used with Remote OSCE
How to Create a System Automated Exam Flow
Follow these steps to set up your automated exam:
- Log in to your SimCapture organization
- Create or open an existing Course
- Click Add New Scenario
