- Create, edit, and delete user accounts.
- Assign roles and permissions to users, including defining access levels for different functionalities.
- Manage user groups for streamlined permissions and administration.
System Configuration
- Configure global settings for the system, including security protocols and authentication methods (e.g., single sign-on).
- Set up integrations with external systems, such as Learning Management Systems (LMS) and Electronic Medical Records (EMR).
- Adjust notification settings for system-wide alerts and reminders.
Database Administration
- Manage data retention policies to comply with regulatory requirements.
Reporting and Analytics
- Access advanced reporting tools to generate analytics on user engagement, simulation outcomes, and resource utilization.
- This includes accessing
- All Course reporting including the Gradebook Report, Learner Score Statistics Report, Learner Evaluation Report, Answer Analysis, Question Analysis, and Inter Rater Reliability Reports
- Center Reports including: Center Sign In Hours, Center Utilization Hours, Annotation utilization, Learner Contact Hours, and Center Sign In Hours.
- Participant Reports including Cross Course Report Export
Administrator
Within SimCapture this user role can:
User Account Management
- Create new user profiles and set up login credentials.
- Modify existing user information (e.g., email, role).
- Deactivate or delete user accounts as needed.
- Assign users to specific groups or departments.
Scenario Management
- Develop new simulation scenarios by uploading scripts, videos, and other resources.
- Edit existing scenarios to update content or improve instructional quality.
- Organize scenarios into categories or tags for easy access.
- Manage scenario versions for tracking changes over time.
Event Scheduling
- Create and schedule simulation sessions, including date, time, and location.
- Assign facilitators and participants to specific events.
- Send notifications or reminders to users about upcoming events.
- Manage cancellations or rescheduling of events.
Reporting Tools
- Access pre-built reports on user participation, performance metrics, and simulation outcomes.
- Customize reports to include specific data points or timeframes.
- Export reports in various formats (e.g., PDF, Excel) for sharing or analysis.
- Use analytics tools to visualize data trends over time.
System Configuration
- Configure integration settings with other systems (e.g., LMS, EMR).
- Set up data storage options, including backups and retention policies.
- Manage hardware settings for connected devices (e.g., manikins, cameras).
- Adjust user interface settings to enhance usability.
Feedback and Evaluation
- Create and customize evaluation forms for participants and facilitators.
- Set up automatic feedback mechanisms post-simulation.
- Collect and analyze feedback data to improve future simulations.
- Manage peer review processes for evaluation.

Participant
Within SimCapture this user role can:
Access Simulation Scenarios in which the User is a member
- Scenario Library: Browse through a library of available simulation scenarios, which may include descriptions, objectives, and prerequisites.
- Search and Filter Options: Use search functionalities or filters to find specific scenarios based on topics, difficulty levels, or other criteria.
Participate in Simulations
- Active Engagement: Actively participate in live simulations by following the scenario scripts, interacting with manikins or virtual patients, and applying learned skills.
- Role Assignment: Assume specific roles as designated in the scenario, such as a healthcare provider or patient.
Access Learning Materials
- Pre-Simulation Resources: Access instructional materials, such as videos or documents, prior to simulations to prepare adequately.
- Post-Simulation Resources: Review additional materials or recommended readings provided after simulations to reinforce learning.
Submit Evaluations
- Feedback Forms: Complete post-simulation evaluations to provide feedback on the simulation experience, including aspects like realism, relevance, and facilitator performance.
- Self-Assessment: Participate in self-assessment forms to reflect on personal performance and learning outcomes.
View Personal Performance Reports
- Individual Reports: Access personalized performance reports that detail scores, competencies achieved, and areas for improvement based on simulation performance.
- Progress Tracking: Monitor progress over time by reviewing historical performance data across multiple simulations.
Schedule Participation
- Event Registration: Sign up for upcoming simulation events through a calendar interface, indicating availability and interest in specific sessions.
- Manage Participation: View a list of scheduled events and manage participation, including the ability to cancel or reschedule if necessary.
Communicate with Facilitators
- Direct Messaging: Use built-in messaging or communication tools to contact facilitators for clarification on scenarios or feedback on performance.
