The SimCapture kiosk interface streamlines the tracking of participant entry and exit in a Simulation Center, enhancing efficiency and ensuring comprehensive records for SSH accreditation.
Key Features
- Sign-in and Sign-out Records: Easily view records of all users signing in and out, creating a clear audit trail.
- Learner Contact Hours Reporting: Track learner contact hours with reporting options sorted by user and organization.
- Center Sign-in Administration: Administrators with Manage Center Sign-in permissions can oversee and manage sign-in records.
Note: The example below displays the global navigation bar for SimCapture Enterprise, but this information is also applicable to SimCapture Pro.
Center sign-in administration
Accessing the Administration page:
Administrators can access the Administration page through the Sign in/out icon in the global navigation bar. This page shows all users who have signed in within the last 24 hours, updating in real-time as users sign in and out.
User details displayed:
- The table displays each user's name, sign-in and sign-out times, and specifies whether they signed in themselves or were signed in by an administrator.
- Manual Sign-out: Administrators can manually sign out users who forget to do so by clicking the icon in the Sign out column.
Additional options
- Copy Kiosk URL: Generate a URL to create a kiosk on any supported device.
- Remote Sign-in Users: Allows admins to sign users into the center without the need for a kiosk.
- Sign Out All: Quickly sign out all users at once, ideal for closing time.
- Refresh Users: Manually refresh the user list when needed.
- Download as Excel: Export center sign-in data in raw format.

The kiosk interface enables users to log their time in the center but does not grant access to the system.
Kiosk registration
A SimCapture admin must register each new kiosk to ensure that only authorized devices are utilized for sign-ins.
Kiosk page
Users are greeted by a customizable message and Sign in/Sign out buttons. If SSO (Single Sign-On) is enabled, users can also sign in and out using their SSO credentials.
When a user selects Sign in/Sign out, they will be taken to a page prompting them to enter their SimCapture username, along with a required password.
Upon successful sign-in or sign-out, a configurable message will be displayed to the user before the interface redirects back to the home screen for the next user to sign in or out.
Center sign-in configuration options
System administrators can adjust several settings from the System Setup area:
- Manage Center Sign-ins: Grants access to the administration page and reports.
- Require Password: Determine whether passwords are required for signing in or out.
- Message Display Duration: Set the length of time messages are shown after sign-in or sign-out.
- Auto-sign-out Duration: Specify the time for automatic sign-out to prevent inactive sessions.
- Custom Messages: Configure messages displayed at the kiosk home, after sign-in, and after sign-out.
- Post-Sign-out Message: This message is shown to users upon successful sign-out.
